El Cristo Beach: This European Blue Flag beach is situated in a delightful sheltered cove, and has several water sport activities available. The sheltered cove ensures that the sea is warmer, making it ideal for swimming. It also slopes very gently and is safe for children. There are two beach chiringitos, Havana Beach and Chiringuito Lolailo, which serve delicious snacks and seafood here. Another beach to visit in Estepona is La Rada Beach, which is a long beach of golden sands, that offers kayaking and windsurfing.
Selwo Wildlife Park: This Park offers the opportunity to have a real wildlife adventure in natural surroundings encompassing 100 acres. Enjoy seeing more than 2000 animals from five continents such as lions, monkeys, elephants, bears, giraffes, birds and many more. The animals live at liberty and recreate their natural habitat. Visitors are taken on a four hour tour, which includes parts on foot and in four wheel drive trucks. Other activities such as camel rides, an elastic jumper, archery and the longest zipwire in Europe are featured here.
Golfing: There are several golf courses in Estepona, for all levels and budgets. Estepona Golf Course is a popular one, with challenging holes. Another established course is the Paraiso Golf Club, which is located between Estepona and Marbella, and enjoys a stunning backdrop of mountains. Other courses in and around Estepona include El Campanario Golf, La Duquesa Golf and Atalaya Golf & Country Club. The famous Valderrama Golf Club is located in nearby Sotogrande.
